I know it's early but you have to assume the best director camp doesn't roll without a ladyyy anymore.
Like I don't see Eastwood ever get nominated again *Ridley Scott too as G2 is probably crap.

Other than that, the Zendaya and Butler predictions stand out as not making much sense.

Something tells me that would be the last time they'd do it... big claim but the voters will be replaced by younger ones who keep in minds nonesense objections like Gerwig was so snubbed for Barbie etc... not letting it happen again. But yes, it's just a feeling.

I would be very surprised of Joker 2 and Gladiator 2 aren’t complete flops.

Women aren't necessarily a given (although it's likelier than not these years) but "international" directors are so someone like that is bound to be there. McQueen doesn't count Cannes will tell us some things, I reckon.

Double nods for Sheeshaw is what I like to see Not really sure The Bikeriders looks like an Oscar movie, would probably be getting a later release if that was the case. Same deal with Challengers which has always just looked like a trashy paperback novel type thing to me. Don't think Joker's getting a BP nod either unless it gets genuine critical acclaim this time.

Other than that, the Zendaya and Butler predictions stand out as not making much sense. Yeah there is a reason they are releasing Challengers in April.

There's some rumblings about Collette being amazing and a genuine threat in Juror #2. Funnily enough, Supporting Actress is the only category Clint hasn't directed a winner in yet.
