Poor Things is a fantastic film, but The Favourite wins out over it in almost every arena bar Production Design and Score.
In terms of ranking the leads: Colman > Stone 2.0 > Stone 1.0 > Weisz. All of them brilliant.

I love The Favourite. I really did not care for Poor Things.

Echoing stephen, Poor Things is really great and I liked it even more on second viewing, but The Favourite is one of the few truly perfect films I can think of. Poor Things is certainly flashier, but I still think The Favourite outweighs it in most tech categories. I honestly find ranking the leads to be basically impossible. All-timers all round.

Poor Things for everything. It's funny, immediately after watching it, I wrote that it's almost as terrific as The Favourite in my blurb... but the more I thought about it, the more I felt that it was actually just as great. And today I woke up feeling that it's probably a touch better. The Favourite is a tighter, more perfectly rounded piece, while Poor Things is a bolder, more exciting, all-encompassing vision. Today I'm on the latter's side.

Poor Things for cinematography and production design. The Favourite for everything else.
In terms of the performances: Queen Anne > Sarah Churchill > Abigail Hill > Bella Baxter.

Poor Things is probably the more flawed movie of the two, but overall I think I was more engaged by it. I really like The Favourite, but I felt slightly more removed from it on a recent rewatch, whereas Poor Things draws me into its world more – it’s also a funnier movie to me (though The Favourite is hilarious at times too of course). I’d rate both about the same (8/10ish).
