Judging by the last 7 years of wonderful posts and users.
MAR approved: Mann, Lynch, Scorsese, Nolan, PTA, Kubrick, Miyazaki, Coens.
No bueno: DOR, McKay, Aronofsky, Godard, Garland, Ron Howard, Baz Luhrmann. Thoughts? Fights?

It's funny how QT misses both lists .....and yet I'd believe him in either one I can never tell if the board hates Fuqua or defends him because they like the same actor he likes............

Nolan certainly has haters so I might just not put him on either list. DOR on the hated list was the very first thing I thought of with this thread title I think Tarantino could go on the liked list. It's to varying degrees but I don't see hardcore haters the way I do with Nolan. Since you included a couple older directors (Kubrick and Godard) Hitchcock, Kurosawa, and Bergman certainly belong on the most loved list. Edit- Sofia Coppola def. belongs on the favorite list as Tyler pointed out. If you wanted MAR's most hated movies no. 1 is of course the infamous Gigi

Mann Coppola Lynch PTA Scorsese
By far the most fanboys come out when talking those 5. More people might like Hitchcock and Kubrick, but they dont love them with the same amount of passion as much.

Godard gets a strong stamp of approval from me and he should not be lumped in with those others on the naughty list

Favorite: I wouldn't put Nolan on here, as there are several users that definitely aren't a fan of his judging from some of their posts. I think Tarkovsky is also universally liked on this forum. Least favorite: Paul W. S. Anderson, as it seems that I'm his only fan on here.

A director like Nolan will have more fans than most directors but on this board he has a fair share of critics than he has outside. That's changed a little post Oppenheimer but he is still far from being this board's favorite, IMO.
