Do you cook most of the time or do you go out to eat a lot? Would you say you’re good at cooking, and are you able to cook a lot of things, or is there a limited number of things that you can cook? Does your partner do most of the cooking? There’s only like a handful of things that I can cook, but my wife is more skilled in the kitchen (yay for traditional gender roles ). We go out to eat a couple times a week – a burger night and a pizza night. What about you?

I try to cook as much as I can. Preparing food for later means that I don't have to make food on the go, so I lean that way. (A lot of boiling and marinating eggs.) I'm still learning, but I enjoy the process of cooking (it can be very zen if you have made the dish multiple times) more than the actual eating, and it's good to know that I can control what goes into a meal. I grew up in a microwave household, and it feels so good to eat real food, especially when I prepare it myself.
I don't cook enough, but I'm always trying to learn.

We eat out A LOT ..............like there will often be days we don't eat a single meal from home for a while.....I have talked about this before I think (?) where we wil get up at like 3:00 AM and look at each and laugh and say "Fnck it let's go to the diner".......and then we go to the 24 hour diner and act like lunatics and drink coffee and act suspicious....... all while making up stories about the OTHER customers at the Diner (almost always in our version - murderers, drug addicts, embezzlers, lovers on the run etc) Like that happened 2 times a week DURING when we had our office jobs ffs..........now it happens even more.....because I have no boss or deadlines ........basically if we didn't find each other........mental hospitals would have found us both..... Last week she texted me to pick up fish for dinner at a store she likes and I thought it was cute how she goes to a specific little fish place for us and then reheats it for us after having them cook it I sometimes will make eggs if she wants to sleep in .......she always handles dinner in some way ....I wouldn't say we're good cooks at all.........we are however very good tippers

I make lunch every day, but husband usually prepares dinner (if we feel like eating something more than a salad or something; we often don't eat much at night if we got enough calories in the previous hours). I lost the passion for cooking as kids got into fast food. What's the point in spending hours for a roast beef if they prefer an hamburger? Anyway, there are few homemade dishes that nobody refuses: lasagne, spaghetti alla carbonara, and a low calories tiramisù. They prefer mine to restaurants ones.

I enjoy cooking, I just hate cleaning up. I cook dinner 3-4 nights a week and cook breakfast a lot. We usually order or go out once a week

Martha Stewart's One-Pan Pasta is my specialty! cherry68 - I'm sure it's not authentically Italian, but you should definitely try it on a busy weeknight!

The lady cooks. I wash the dishes. Seems fair. How often? Pretty much every day.

The lady cooks. I wash the dishes. Basically our arrangement too... I also take care of most of the miscellaneous dishes throughout the day, including her one thousand coffee cups that she drinks from in a given day and that take up pretty much the entire top rack of the dishwasher.

Guys, buy a dishwasher. I have one even in my mountain apartment, and I installed it myself.

Cooking pasta in a pan was quite popular a decade ago, but I still prefer the classic way. The ingredients of this recipe are normal Mediterranean taste, so you can call it Italian If you don't have much time to cook, try this spaghetti: tuna, garlic, parsley, lemon, olive oil.

Guys, buy a dishwasher. I have one even in my mountain apartment, and I installed it myself. While a dishwasher is no doubt more sanitary (the water is hotter), if you wash a dish or at least soak it when you're done using it, the actual time spent at the sink is minimal - or at least seems that way, because it is in such tiny chunks of time that they're hardly noticeable.
