It's been a few weeks since they announced a new 'Jurassic World' movie but now they seem to have found a director (who must really want to make a hit after The Creator). deadline.com/2024/02/jurassic-world-gareth-edwards-1235831353/I actually like this choice, Edwards really knows how to deal with CG-heavy setpieces and how to present creatures with a proper sense of awe and scale, which are both important for a Jurassic flick. His Godzilla was in many ways a tribute to JP so it's a logical development for him to make one of these movies himself.

Stop. Just stop.
If you want to revive a Crichton property, give us a Congo reboot.

Stop. Just stop. If you want to revive a Crichton property, give us a Congo reboot. Any new version of Congo they make simply has no chance of being as fun as the original so pass. No sesame cake, no Congo.

So it'll look good but have no story sense or character to it. Cool.

I like Edwards as a director so I’m fine with this choice. And JP movies are still guaranteed money makers (even the last one) so it’s silly to think a studio would stop making one of the most successful IPs they have.

This franchise is so tired. Spielberg should have been a better steward of his franchises, as Indy 4 and 5 sucked, as well as these Jurassic Worlds.

Is she playing a dinosaur? Not gonna lie, if she just showed up as Scarlett Johansson playing a T. Rex with no CGI or costuming, just a blonde woman roaring with pygmy arms, I will buy out a whole theater's seating opening night.
