I've seen Pacino many times, but never Huppert (I think Mattsby did though).....I mean ON stage not on a filmed play like National Theatre films The GOATs onstage Huppert /Blanchett

Pacino thrice - Merchant of Venice (intense and better than in the film), Glengarry (where he was a little out of it) and China Doll (where I thought he was kinda great) Huppert twice - The Maids and The Mother - what struck me about these perfs were how involving and different she was in her physicality, opposite Blanchett she was so girlish and airy and hilarious, and the other - the Florian Zeller of course - she inhabits a slow decay, a surreal delirium crumbling in front of you (reminded me of Malina from 1991 ....one of her GOAT perfs....which means it's one of the GOAT perfs by anyone).

As someone who distinguishes between best and favorite (at least for actors), I’d consider Chastain my favorite current actress (for reasons other than just her artistry ) but in terms of craft I don't think she’s on the level of others I’d call great, though she is still great herself... so far I’ve gotten to see her just the one time in A Doll’s House.

Eh, I've seen some stage actors that are every bit as good as the best film actors, but I'm also not big on actors in general (I think my view of them as tools is well-documented). I don't know who my favorite actors are, but there are plenty of stage actors that I'm always excited to see show up (in the Washington DC area, I've got Ted Van Griethuysen, Sarah Marshall, Tim Story & Patrick Page - also a Broadway star who should reprise his role as Frollo if Disney remakes Hunchback). I haven't seen many screen actors in person. The most exciting beforehand was probably Stacy Keach as Falstaff in Henry IV (parts 1 & 2), and he sucked. (I don't know if it was Keach or the director that decided on Falstaff being characterized as an old man falling asleep through the whole damn thing...)
Aside from that, I've seen Richard Schiff (a laughable production of Hughie, although that is down to the script as much as anything else) and Marsha Mason (a wonderful All's Well That Ends Well, although she was dull as dirt).
I've never been to New York, but I'd love to try it sometime. I won't be looking for any specific actors, though. The few kinda sorta names I've encountered are no better - and usually worse - than their stage only co-stars.

I have seen Glenda Jackson on stage! Some others I've seen that aren't necessarily favorites, but I like them a whole lot: Jessica Chastain Jodie Comer Alfred Molina Saoirse Ronan Denzel Washington Ben Whishaw

Yes, twice - Maggie Smith. In Talking Heads and The Breath of Life. Also, Andrew Garfield in Death of a Salesman and Angels in America.
I would love to see Streep in something and would even consider flying out to New York just to see her, if she ever does Broadway or off-Broadway.
Other actors I've seen who I really like but aren't quite favourites:
Judi Dench Vanessa Redgrave Rachel Weisz Lesley Sharp Philip Seymour Hoffman Gillian Anderson Ralph Fiennes Julie Walters Lesley Manville
I'd also one day like to see Laura Linney on stage.
