I hope the inevitable box office embarrassment of this puts the superhero genre to rest, for good.

So happy to see Pedro Pascal again - hardly ever see him in anything these days.....

Why is Pedro Pascal wasting his time in something that we all know in advance won't be as good as Face/Off, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, or Paddington II?

So Ebon Moss-Bachrach is now two different characters in the same universe? He plays David Lieberman (Micro) in The Punisher Netflix series.
Not sure if Marvel is planning on ever bringing back Bernthal as The Punisher, but the fact that they’re continuing the Daredevil series makes this casting kind of odd since the Daredevil series is of course connected to The Punisher series, so it’s technically part of the MCU too.

Bernthal is confirmed to be back in the new Daredevil series as The Punisher. 3 episodes he will be in. The whole of Marvel Netflix is canon, so it's basically a continuation of the Netflix shows and they are trying to get back as many of the same actors from the Netflix shows as possible. Wilson Bethel is also back as Bullseye.

I'd more interested in a documentary about the behind the scenes of Josh Trank's film, like the doc made about Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau.

Oh look, it's the same cast that has been rumoured for like the last 6 months.

Pascal falling into the "overexposure" category right now.

I don't see any reason not to think that this wouldn't be a complete flop. I don't think Deadpool 3 is a guaranteed massive hit either.

I don't think Deadpool 3 is a guaranteed massive hit either. The successes in the genre lately have been from films that had goodwill leading into them ( Guardians 3, Spider-Verse 2). Deadpool & Wolverine has the goodwill of the earlier installments and Jackman's Wolverine behind it. It's going to be a hit, how massive it is just depends on whether it's received decently since it's not like it'll have much competition around its release.

I feel like Fantastic Four is never going to truly work on film. Hope I'm wrong, but faith in the consistency and quality control of the MCU has dropped considerably. I like Pascal a lot as an actor, but he doesn't feel right for this. Neither does Quinn for Johnny Storm ( and I'm looking forward to both of them in Gladiator 2). Kirby and Moss-Bachrach feel like great casting.
Marvel need to get the X-Men back onscreen soon if they hope to turn things round. But it looks like they may just be bringing back the Fox X-Men ( judging by Hugh Jackman and the Kelsey Grammar and Patrick Stewart cameos as their X-Men characters in other MCU films) which would be a bad move. People were looking forward to a fresh, brand new take on the X-Men. The Fox universe had ran it's course.

Quinn as Johnny Storm is more than questionable. It's as misguided as doing something like casting Marine Vacth as the most average girl in high school.
