Ok, this looks FUCKING AWESOME!!!!
Dev Patel as John Wick isn't a genre I ever thought I wanted before seeing this trailer, but inject this shit into my veins.
And the lad wrote and directed this too? I keep having to reasses who is the best/greatest alumni from Skins is, because Patel, Daniel Kaluuya, Nicholas Hoult have all done some astounding shit. Even Jack O'Connell's career would stand out more if it wasn't for those guys.

Interesting. Maybe Doug Liman should have placed a call to Jordan Peele

That's pretty damn awesome from Peele.
Also, hopefully this is Devs' successful audition tape for Bond.

Brilliant first screening reactions to Monkey Man, with Dev Patel getting a standing ovation for everything he did on the film. Don't want to get carried away by early screening reactions, but I'm wondering if this might have awards potential as well if the reviews end up at the higher range. Especially since Patel appears to have done everything except craft services ( making Bradley Cooper look slack). It's an action movie, but some of the reactions suggests there's a bit of thematic weight and depth there also.

Fuck yeah. Give me a dozen Monkey Man movies. I jumped right on this train the moment I saw the trailer. Knew Patel might be about to deliver something special. But these reactions are beyond what I even expected. Patel might see his career completely transformed. As in he could become an A-list action star and an A-list director. Happy for this guy. As noted on the 90's born actors thread, he doesn't consistently get enough great acting opportunities to really cement himself at the top with the more buzzed about members of his generation. So it's cool to see him take matters into his own hands.

He's the sort of actor who can absolutely mold a brand and build a great following, and I hope this gets that going for him.

I wasn't really a fan of Dev Patel but he really impressed me with The Green Knight. This looks so fun, will definitely be watching it. It also has Shobhita, the sexiest actress in Bollywood currently😍

I like Dev, but The Green Knight sucked, like most Lowery films (A Ghost Story in particular).
