EDIT: There is a theory that it might be Cuckoo, but the fact that we don't know is fascinating.

Freaky. Interesting how the board was just discussing The Blair Witch Project and its use of innovative marketing and now we get this, which, whatever it may be, seems to be trying something completely unique. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this one.

EDIT: There is a theory that it might be Cuckoo, but the fact that we don't know is fascinating. Apparently in some showings of Night Swim, a full trailer for Longlegs is playing that expands on this teaser. I wanna see the trailer, but I really don't feel like getting a ticket for Night Swim to find out.

If it's anything like Gretel and Hansel, I'll probably not love it, but these teasers are damn effective.

Today I learned that this is directed by this goofball from Legally Blonde

The teasers do not inspire confidence - they look extremely goofy, especially the last one - but I did like Gretel and Hansel quite a lot, so I'm mildly curious.

Great trailer, really reminded of the one for Prometheus with the unravelling text and increasing intensity.

Great trailer, really reminded of the one for Prometheus with the unravelling text and increasing intensity. reminds me of the first teaser for Guadagnino Suspiria's too but this is so much more intense. Neon's marketing team is killing it

I know I'm really annoying with all my bitching about this but all these horror movies look the exact same to me. It's like I'm watching Men over and over again.

I say this all the time - but the mix of cop film / mystery and the occult almost never works.......it didn't even work in Angel Heart after they left NYC and it fizzled out...it didn't work after the 45 minute mark of Fallen when that became quite stupid.......it did work in Cigarette Burns - a good bit - and some other things here and there but this is the kind of thing that should be a total slam dunk that rarely is.........and it gets botched a whole lot too........
Perkins has never made a good film imo - although me made a film with a great ending (The Blackcoat's Daughter) so you never know........
