Yeah, I know this is 3 days in a rown with either snippets or just an announcement about new music coming TOMORROW......but if this was The Replacements in '85, The Clash in '79, Pavement in '93 .....we'd be doing this same shit for them too.......not the same rules when you're the best band going ffs
Lmaooo why does Grian look like Billie Joe Armstrong here?

Fontaines D.C. StarbursterI'm shouting out Joaquim for this - but obviously this is a huge deal for anybody who has listened to Rock and Roll since 2019.....very Stone Roses influenced in its trip hop beats and the way the vocals weave in and out....almost formless, somewhat frightening.....in its own way kind of experimental Fascinating left turn tbh

The Libertines I Have A Friend
One of the 3 most striking songs on their loooooooooooong awaited and pretty fine 4th album - along with Shiver and Night of thee Hunter both posted earlier....
This song has The Libertines greatest trick - and they have a lot of those - of sounding tight and coherent and falling apart and sloppy - simultaneously

Local Drags Yours If You WantSuperb, expansive sounding new single by Lanny Durbin who here evokes the chiming, bells ringing atmospherics of late 60s orchestral Pop and writes a Power Pop song around it........love this specific sound..... This is the 3rd great Pop song that has come out in about a week

The debut LP from the band English Teacher is maybe my favorite album in ... years? I've been obsessed with this band since I discovered them at the end of last year. Their sound reminded me a bit of fellow great emerging British indie act Dry Cleaning (tongue-in-cheek humor, at times spoken-word lyricism, all over propulsive instrumentation) and even of early Arctic Monkeys; though now on a full album it feels like their sound has blossomed into something completely their own. Front to back it just speaks to me - equal ability to be funny and academic, to be a toe-tapping jam or full of cathartic yearning. Check it out for yourself, I give it my highest recommendation, for whoever possibly values that, lol.
