Who do you think could be the Bafta nominees for Rising Star? Remember that this category recognizes those who promise to have a great career ahead of them. It's hard to predict but I can see Mia McKenna-Bruce nominated. Nabhaan Rizwan could be another nominee.

Lily Gladstone Da’Vine Joy Randolph Dominic Sessa Charles Melton Aren't their line-ups heavily UK-focused though? Also, aren't Gladstone and Randolph relatively established actors who might be passed over for this? Just thinking

Lily Gladstone Da’Vine Joy Randolph Dominic Sessa Charles Melton I would predict them but we must remember that the nominees are chosen by a jury that meets and talks about who may have a future ahead of them. They can also focus more on British productions. I think Lily Gladstone can be nominated because many see her as new and perhaps don't know her previous work.

Haven't seen Talk to Me yet, but I'm happy for Wilde on a purely patriotic level.
I imagine Elordi wins this.

Her Letterboxd troupe enough could push her over the edge. And yeah, Wilde is incredible in Talk to Me and I'd love to see her break out in a big way.

Mia McKenna Bruce has been grinding for a very long time on the UK scene. Done a ton of short films, day player TV roles, was on some very popular kid/teen show called The Dumping Ground ( never seen it myself). Point is, I think she's like a homegrown girl made good. Been around a long time, but is still young. She probably has an actual local fan base. If this is a UK public vote, I think she has a very good chance of winning.

Well, glad I called this one correct...
