Cool list. I particularly like the fact that The Preacher's Wife got ranked at #25 by Rolling Stone, as we keep hearing falsely that Denzel Washington has no classic comedy films, yet somehow this romantic Christmas comedy of his keeps making these type of lists. Go figure!

This is actually a really great list. Love that they got Trading Places, Eyes Wide Shut And Batman Returns in there as well

Controversial, but this also needs to be acknowledged.

People are still debating whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not?

People are still debating whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not? I think that debate is kinda over (yes it is a Christmas movie) but some people/outlets are still milking it for clicks and engagement.

People are still debating whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie or not? It's Shane Black's first script, lol.

Die Hard was written by Steven E de Souza and Jeb Stuart.

Naming Carol the greatest Christmas film of all time is such a bold, brilliant choice, and one I heartily co-sign... With the photograph of Grace Kelly that I'm certain Haynes used as a visual guide...

Home Alone and Muppets outside the Top 10 is silly.

One film that I wish would have placed here... John Huston's 1987 swan song, The Dead (taking place at Epiphany, which I would think would still qualify it?). Stunningly served and soulful, it features what is to my mind one of the all time great performances - Anjelica Huston as Gretta.

This reinvention of Batman Returns as unrecognized genius is beyond tiresome.
