What is the youngest and oldest ages you would date?

My husband is 4 years younger than me, and we started dating when he was 25.
Let's say age gap is less relevant when it's a small percentage of your age.

Um, as young as 18 and as old as you're (or I'm) attracted to........it's a stupid question to me for males & females.......this presentism idea of the infantilization of adult females specifically - like an 18 year old girl isn't mature enough to refuse my old ass or some shit if I ask her out

My very behavior is adolescent not just my appreciation of the Arts .........if anything so is my worldview ........politically I question everything - I'm far more radical than the members of Generation Useless - or just outside of it - on this board think they are (yeah, Che Gueverra was cool - right you poseur - okay, sure )............. So, nowadays I date my gf and that's it ........but if not for her I'd date far younger - and have for a while - because I don't attract females of a comparable age........the topic of conversation is likely to skew younger, and so are the interests and compatibility......I'm not likely to want to talk my 401k and landscaping yanno?

I wouldn't go under 21, but I generally lean within a closer range for those younger than me. As for the upper limit, I would like to have biological kids so there is a limit for a long-term relationship. That being said, Mary Steenburgen can get it to this day and Salma Hayek is still my top celebrity crush.

I turn 34 next week and would feel weird dating anyone younger than 25. I’m not convinced anyone has really settled into their adult self until around that age, so it’s likely someone younger than that is going to be in a significantly different place in life in terms of personal identity, emotional maturity, worldview, self-awareness, etc.

As for dating older, it would depend on the person. There’s plenty of people who behave younger than they are, so a gap might feel smaller than it actually is. My wife is 4 years older than me but I often forget that because we feel the same age.
