Wharton's unfinished novel about American heiresses making their debut in London society... The BBC did a more traditional miniseries adaptation of this in the 90s with Carla Gugino, Mira Sorvino, and Alison Elliott, among others - I thoroughly enjoyed that! Will you be watching this?

will definitely be checking this one out You might be interested to know that Wharton was (at least in part) inspired to write this novel because of Consuelo Vanderbilt, the American heiress who later became the Duchess of Marlborough (and the subsequent scandals that plagued her marriage to and separation from the Duke). Wharton herself was of course totally ensconced in "Old New York" society and often found the Vanderbilts' excessive displays of wealth vulgar - I like to think Julian Fellowes based Christine Baranski's character in The Gilded Age on her. Here's a John Singer Sargent portrait of Consuelo with her family - note the bust of the first Duke of Marlborough at the top (Rachel Weisz's husband in The Favourite!):
