I guess I'm in the minority thinking that the Cleganebowl was fucking awful? Nah nah ... it was horrendous. Totally pointless at that point in time, there were no stakes, like the writers just forgot it was a plot point they wanted to get to and shoehorned it into the most awkward moment possible. Leading up to it, Qyburn's death was fucking laughable, and Cersei ducking outta there before they fight even more so ... and then most of the fight they just intercut The Hound getting his ass beaten with Arya falling down in the streets of King's Landing?? Whhhy????? Yeah. It was dumb. Just another "fuck you" to the fans.

D&D clearly said that Dany snapped after watching Red Keep and in that moment she made it personal. What's personal in roasting thousands of civilians? If it's personal she should've just straight up went to Cersei and burned her. It's not like Cersei loves her people. She doesn't care what happens to them.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking that the Cleganebowl was fucking awful? A staircase was an interesting place for a fight, but not when it's one guy throwing the other around like a god damned sack of helium potatoes.... It was awful, and I never actually was remotely invested in it to begin with.

Anyone else who thinks that after they deal with Dany, the Kingdoms will be split to self rule, I'm in agreement with you. It makes sense to do it, and it would be something sensible to do after all the recent farce and stupidity. I could live with it as an ending.

I've honestly given up completely trying to make predictions... Because each one of my own has more thought put into them than the ones that appear on screen. Seriously, D&D could have gone to any number of discussion pages and taken ideas from them instead of... whatever it is they've been taking ideas from...

I never thought the series was going to end with someone on the Iron Throne. Just doesn't feel like that'd make for a good ending at all. With that said, I don't trust the show to do literally anything right at this point so who knows what'll happen.

OKAY!!!!
We've been shitting on this for way too many pages that I feel like we're missing the joy and happiness this series has brought us... because even though I hate where it is now, I'm still going to remember fondly catching up on the series while S2 was airing... being on pins and needles... cheering... longing... etc...
I think we all need to nominate an episode that we ALL watch before the finale (for better or worse) that when we inevitably have to gripe how we needed X more time to get to Y... and we can all be happy that we're so mad about our current situation because we cared a lot about these characters and scenarios for a god damned reason.
I nominate The Watchers on the Wall (4.09). I was always interested in the goings on at The Wall from the beginning (which so many weren't back when) and I still think it's the best of the series. As an added bonus, the first ten minutes of 4.10 should be included too.

Good idea and good episode suggestion. I'll throw 6x10 into the ring.

I nominate Blackwater. It's the episode that made me fall in love with the show.

I think my personal favourite is 3x04, "And Now His Watch is Ended". It showcases all facets of the show working at their absolute peak - political intrigue, familial conflict, wonderful performances, razor sharp dialogue, sensational action set pieces (for that one moment, at least, Daenerys was hands down my favourite character of the show). Some episodes excel in the quieter character interactions, others excel in the epic spectacle, but this episode had it all.

I don't know if I have an absolute favourite, but Season 1, Episode 7 "You Win or You Die" is absolute gold.
- First Tywin Scene, skinning that deer. Oh the foreshadowing... - Osha at her earliest days in Winterfell, talking up the White Walkers and making a show of Theon. - Jon not becoming a Ranger and he and Sam swearing their oath... - The attempted assassination of Dany followed by the manliest rant in the history of television from Drogo. - And about half a dozen fantastic things happen in Kings Landing.

"The Laws of Gods and Men." Dinklage's greatest performance throughout the series (it was all downhill from here), in a trial scene to rival any of the great courtroom dramas of our time. Yes, Tyrion, you should've let Stannis kill them all.

Yeah, “Kissed by Fire” is the finest hour in this series. Includes about everything I ever wanted from this show.

Walked into my sister's room today. Her friend had decided to finally watch the series so they've started binge watching the whole thing. God it's all shit now. Bran's dreams, the many interesting minor characters that come and go, so many build ups... to nothing. You thought you hated Dorne, wait till you see how more meaningless it all gets on a re-watch. Seven hells.
Favorite episode: The Children. This world could've ended that day and I'd be fine.

I'll give my 5 favorite episodes:
1. The Rains of Castamere (3x09) 2. And Now His Watch is Ended (3x04) 3. Fire and Blood (1x10) 4. Baelor (1x09) 5. Blackwater (2x09)
Season 1 is my favorite overall but the best stuff in Season 3 was the peak of the show.

5x05 "Kill the Boy" is a criminally underrated episode. Tyrion and Jorah talking about the doom of Valyria is still one of my favorite scenes.

I can't find the clip but from 2.09 Varys and Tyrion as he's getting dressed for battle is perhaps my favorite scene in the whole show.

Why doesn't Lena Headey ever get mentioned?

So disappointed that we're only slightly over 24 hours out from the finale and I just barely care. I'm genuinely sad that I don't care. A few weeks ago I thought I would be dieing with anticipation, but I have none. It'll be about 1pm Eastern US time on Monday when I get the chance to watch it, and if the whole episode was spoiled on me before then, I'd be less than bothered. To say this is a sorry conclusion to an eight year odyssey, would be an understatement. I just hope that the folks putting this to screen, can pull something out of the bag.

Still, I guess too take stock for a minute and be nice...whatever the finale brings us, we have to give credit to the show. If I ever feel compelled to make a list of Top TV Episodes or Top TV Moments, it'll be all over it.
