1. Matthew Macfayden 2. F. Murray Abraham 3. Jonathan Banks 4. Alan Ruck 5. Stellan Skarsgaard 6. Alexander Skarsgaard 7. Giancarlo Esposito 8. Bradley Whitford
this one's all over the place. Leaving out Braun and Smith on gut instincts (haven't seen S4 yet but Braun has always just been comic relief, and Smith plays second-fiddle to the rest of the cast and missed at Globes and SAG). Lithgow is always possible but Old Man is a year old at this point. Feel like Esposito could get bumped because he was snubbed for season 5 but the Emmys love him and Gus gets that big moment in "Fun and Games" so I'd rather include him over some of the others. And Whitford just because it would be unprecedented for Handmaid to not get any above-line nominations and he's been consistently nominated for this perf, including for S3 where the show significantly underperformed relative to its past two Emmy cycles. Now obviously last year there were multiple unprecedented absences so maybe this is the first year Handmaid just gets nothing, but I'm willing to throw a bone to Whitford.

can someone explain how Esposito is eligible in supporting despite only appearing 2 of the 6 Better Call Saul eps? Same reason why Brian Cox is eligible for Best Actor in a Drama Series. It is all based on what the television studios submit for Emmy consideration.

I think so. Sam Richardson was in two episodes of Ted Lasso for Season 2, and he was nominated for Guest Actor. Kaitlin Olson was in a few episodes in Hacks, and she was nominated for Guest Actress. It is really screwed up.
