Box Office is about the movie sells tickets on US and Canadá.
I know when a French Film or a French Canadian film (99% of times limted) realesed in US thats count on BoX Office.
But what about French Canadian, French or other Foreign films realesed exclusively in Canadá? There are counting their box office or there are excluded.
Is there a french Language film realese exclusively in Canadá that was a huge box office hit?

Of course it would still be counted as domestic box office. If the US and Canada is all considered one territory why would a film released exclusively in Canada get counted any differently than a film released exclusively in LA?

Of course it would still be counted as domestic box office. If the US and Canada is all considered one territory why would a film released exclusively in Canada get counted any differently than a film released exclusively in LA? One thing is "should" and other "are". I remember than 20 years ago there were several titles on french, that in a limited realese were more successful than long awaited american in limited realese. I thought at first, well americans has a rich cultural cinephile. And then I realese that also counted Canada. Ok that could explain the success. But 10 years later Intouchubles the most succesful french movie in US in several years only made 10 million. And then I read (unfortunately I the source source about box office that excluded The French Canadian cinemas is Wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Intouchables). After this, very few french or french Canadian movies made more than 1 million dollars.
