Absolutely remarkable. He deserves an Oscar nomination, and I hated his bullshit win for Bridge of Spies, where he literally won an Oscar for repeating "Would it help?". Rylance in this and The Gunman is showing his real acting ability. Wow.

I'm still shaking my head at this performance. Rylance is the new DDL. Can be gobsmacking in one performance (this), and look like he doesn't know how to act in the next (Don't Look Up, where he was shit). Same as the whiplash I had seeing DDL in stuff like Gangs of New York and...alot of other stuff.

I can't wait for 30 years from now when baby cinephiles discover his performance in Don't Look Up and recognize it as the masterpiece it is.

I can't wait for 30 years from now when baby cinephiles discover his performance in Don't Look Up and recognize it as the masterpiece it is. Nah, I'll be an old man or a ghost ranting about how terrible he was in it. He was great in Bones and All though. Blanchett was uncharacteristically good in Don't Look Up, though. Effective without her usual bathos.
