Top 10:
Teresa Wright, Shadow of a Doubt Grant-Bergman-Rains, Notorious ( their rapport is endlessly fascinating) Laurence Olivier, Rebecca Tallulah Bankhead, Lifeboat Eva Marie Saint, North by Northwest Thelma Ritter, Rear Window Henry Fonda, The Wrong Man Anthony Perkins, Psycho
and then of course there's the scene-stealing wonders (Lila Kedrova in Torn Curtain, Florence Bates in Rebecca...)

Robert Walker in Strangers on a Train is always my go to. I'll give a shoutout to Montgomery Clift in I Confess too.

Not a movie but Vera Miles in Revenge (1955) from Alfred Hitchcock Presents - directed by the fat man himself is a crucial performance for Hitchcock to have directed .......... which by extension makes it a crucial performance on film that is never talked about....... For anybody that really loves Vertigo but has never seen Revenge - you're missing out, and for no reason - it's online for free - you'll see why at first he wanted Miles to be in Vertigo actually and the two sides of a mind etc. She's great here......
