Which movies would've filled out the BP Tens: THE RESULTS

Well folks, here it is - the end of another poll series! If you've ever wondered which films narrowly missed a Best Picture nomination, I've got the answer right here:



As I've mentioned in the previous thread I won't be doing the first five years of the Oscars because they were a very different thing with much fewer categories and an inherent unpredictability so I just feel it'd be a futile task.

But going through the rest of the Academy's history has been very enjoyable. This was just a bit of daily fun for all the Oscar-heads out there on our forum so I wanna thank all of those who voted in these polls and to especially thank the loyal voters who stuck with this series all along the way. And of course a very special kudos to finniussnrub for not only voting but commenting on every year and showing a genuine interest in these matters. Appreciate it, bud

I don't have any cool statistics - the results are the results. However, the one bit I'd like to mention is that throughout all the years the ONLY movie (unless I missed something) our voters thought would've snuck in a BP 10 without any other nominations is "A Bridge Too Far" in 1977. So a special mention to it, I guess! Plus some kind of trophy should be given to the person among us who's seen every movie on this list

Now the only thing we need is for someone to hack into some AMPAS archive and find out the real results to see how close we were
