Hyped. Kind of seems similar to Don't Look Up in terms of plot.

I mean, Aurora sounded like it would be the perfect auteur popcorn movie. It's a thriller, not a slow-burn Tarkovsky joint.

Yeah, it's not like Bigelow needs huge budgets for what she does. But this is what happens when Netflix pumps massive amounts of cash into these big projects without any hope to recouping their losses. And this is what I've been talking about when it comes to the irresponsibility of streamers, and why writing big blank checks without any hope to a reasonable return on their investment is a long-term negative on the industry because it kills potential projects like this.

at this point I just need more Bigelow. Maybe she can realize her Custer epic or the Kent State shootings project.

Oh, well that's a real shame. I guess I'll have to settle for a hopeful adaptation of Eli Cash's revisionist deconstruction Old Custer.

I just really don’t understand the mismanagement and irresponsibility of billions of dollars. It’s obscene

I’m trying not to be a doomer, but the reason stated for why she dropped out is very depressing and alarming. With AI now, it just feels like the industry is going downhill faster than I thought

Noah Baumbach and Bradley Cooper's careers at Netflix are over. And Fincher's next is rumored to be the Strangers on a Train remake, which is definitely more commercial than these other projects.

Well, I'm surprised it took Netflix this long to realize nobody watches those movies.

Well, I'm surprised it took Netflix this long to realize nobody watches those movies. Which movies? This feels closer to Bird Box than Mank/Maestro/White Noise/The Irishman

He's talking about Baumbach movies and Maestro. If you're referring to Quetee, she's a woman.
