Wow, that's a pretty massive loss, and he was just promoting Ghostbusters: Afterlife, looking as happy as can be. RIP to one of the most successful comedic directors of the 1980s and 1990s. Dave and Ghostbusters are great comedies, and movies.

My childhood was just a basically a steady diet of his films. Hopefully this won’t come out badly, but seeing this news makes me remember that a football team you wanted to win losing isn’t such a big deal in the scheme of things.
RIP.

Kindergarten Cop was absolutely one of those movies that I loved to watch as a kid, even moreso then Ghostbusters. In fact Reitman is a bit underrated in general as one of Arnold's best collaborators, I even sorta enjoy Junior.

Between '75-'79 he produced Shivers and Rabid for Cronenberg..... and a Tony-nominated Broadway musical....and Animal House. And then he directed Meatballs (a fav) and Ghostbusters etc. That's such an awesome range of taste. And as a kid, my VHS of Kindergarten Cop was a popular item. RIP

My favorite Reitman directed scene, one of my favorite Bill Murray scenes.......... and a personal mantra for Life too. As a director, you have to really love your star to allow him to go off the leash but then again why wouldn't you when your star is this guy?

Total pillar in American comedy for so long, and at his peak produced some of the funniest stuff I ever seen in my life. Dude even produced a kid who just kept on giving. Thanks for the memories, legend.
