You know what's crazy, though? We've had Audrey Tatou and now Juliette Binoche, but Coco Chanel actually looked most like this board's favorite French acting icon Isabelle Huppert.

Love me some Close and Binoche! Is this the first time she and Malkovich have been in the same movie since Dangerous L?

Both Juliette Binoche and Glenn Close were at the Dior Couture show today at the Musée Rodin in Paris, looking gorgeous, as part of the show's promotion - I'll update once I can find a photo of Binoche! Edit: Mendelsohn was there, too!

Oh honey, how many more movies do we need on Coco Chanel? Personally, I think Huppert would have made a better Chanel than Brioche.

I’m only one episode in, but I’m shocked this show is daring to show Coco Chanel as she actually was: a willing Nazi collaborator*. This is something that is very obviously well-documented, but something the deep-pocketed fashion house has managed to keep broadly quiet for a loooong time.
*Purely for personal gain - she wasn’t motivated by anti-Semitism or any other devious Nazi agenda.
