Soderbergh works best with long-form storytelling, so I am excited for this.

Hopefully it's better than No Sudden Move...

Premiers on MAX: July 13. New interview Sod talking about the show... Kurosawa's High And Low as the starting point..... and some worrying bits... "After I completed the first version, we ended up deleting over an hour of edited material and re-shot over an hour of new material." I saw Ep1, Ep2 at the Tribeca premiere yesterday...... Entertaining, a little confusing, very messy. No cast standouts, really. One curious thing.... The audience was howling laughing during several (apparently) serious scenes and the cast seemed surprised by that reaction during the post-screening Q&A (a lineup of Sod, Claire Danes, Zazie Beetz, Jim Gaffigan, Jharrel Jerome, CCH Pounder, rockstar Dennis Quaid, and the funniest of them: Timothy Olyphant).

First episode rips. Soderbergh modernizing High and Low with an A+ cast, what more could you ask for? Can't wait to see the rest.
