RIP. One of the greatest drummers of all time and obviously a huge part of rock history with his role in the Stones. Hard to imagine anyone else drumming for them, although you'd assume Mick and Keith would continue touring.

Utterly devastated I'm not gonna lie - we put RIP threads up all the time about actors who have passed away and that get called "iconic" who are not f'n iconic.........but Charlie Watts was not only iconic - he was one of the few people in Rock that nobody ever said a bad word about - in a band that a lot of people said a lot of bad things about .......probably because they were jealous of how great his band was. Even his freakin frontman loved him - "Charlie's good tonight, isn't he?"God damn right. RIP

I was kinda hoping he'd be the last one standing. Go easy, Charlie.

This is going to hit Keith particularly hard. You can tell by reading his autobiography just how much he revered Charlie and loved playing with him.

Oh, Charlie. When Mick was doing his thing, I used to get a kick out of looking over at him. That he was so different made him fascinating to me.
