I can't believe it's been that long. Anyone have any theories on what happened to her? Every time I see a picture of her, it makes me sad to know that someone is hiding the truth. There was a documentary on CBS a few years back (20th anniversary) and it was quite good. Here it is for all those who missed it: link

It was an accident but that wasn't the first time he hit her. He hit her with a golf club one time. I believe this theory and believe the truth will come out when the father dies. If Burke reveals what happened, they can't do that much to him because he was nine at the time. Well, unless he doesn't want people to know then he will pull one of those death bed confessions like that one lady did with Emmet Till.

I've always assumed it was the Brother or the Dad.Probably the Brother.I guess they figured they'd already lost one child and they didn't want to lose another,so they covered it up.

It couldn't have been the parents especially not Patsy. JonBenet was her golden ticket. It was Burke. He would smear feces on her belongings. It was a tragic coverup. Patsy said it herself, that she didn't know what she would do if she lost Burke too. I mean seriously, who writes a three page ransom note?

100% the Lego haired space cadet brother killed her. That's the only thing that makes sense at this point. He killed her then went back to bed. Patsy found her dead and went to get John and they planned the fake kidnapping plot.

If he reveals what happened he is certainly able to be prosecuted for it, but they're bound to the sentence that would be imposed on him at the time. There was a case, I believe, where someone confessed to a murder they committed as a juvenile and they wound up having to be sentenced to a juvenile facility (which, given the ludicrous nature of it, I believe they suspended the sentence).

I didnt mean do anything, i know there is no statute in the u.s. i was talking about how he didn't meet the min age to bring charges against him at the time so what can they do to him now? It is a high profile case though and im sure some d.a would take it to the max. Still Colorado says you have to be ten. That is why he will at a min wait until jon dies to do something because jon will definitely go to jail.

There was a case, I believe, where someone confessed to a murder they committed as a juvenile and they wound up having to be sentenced to a juvenile facility (which, given the ludicrous nature of it, I believe they suspended the sentence). Sorry to bump an old thread, I was curious if there was a thread about this case anywhere so I searched and found this. In Colorado, if you are under the age of ten you cannot be charged with a crime. Burke was nine. There was a golf club incident that has been debated but I tend to believe, for once, The Ramseys version. She came up behind him and was too close and during his back swing hit her accidentally. What I find far more troubling is Patsy rushing to the ER and then going to consult a plastic surgeon when JonBenet was all of three years old. There has also been a lot made of an incident, a single verifiable incident, involving feces smearing after he found his mother was likely to die of stage 4 cancer. These two things have been stretched into Burke is responsible. I'm sorry. I just don't buy it. I got kind of obsessed with this case. I had a passing interest in True Crime but this took that interest to a level I never thought it would. I watched some special with them when I was very young and naively bought what they said and didn't look into it. The Case Of JonBenet (2016, CBS) changed that. I was furious as I watched it. Absolutely pissed. It is flawed, like the book it's based off of (Foreign Faction, written by James Kolar who worked for the DA's office while Mary Lacy was in office. She was friends with The Ramseys.) and comes to a conclusion I just don't buy. However, it completely decimates the notion of an intruder. Yet, I just don't believe the Burke theory in the scenarios that I have seen. Yes, children can do awful things, but so can a parent. I created a YouTube channel and put as much as YouTube would allow me to put up without getting blocked via copyright. I could not get this case out of my mind and I couldn't figure it out so I put together a video using Windows' Video Editor program (it took a few days, be kind, I'm not all that experienced.) that runs a little over 2 hours but once I pieced this all together with all three theories given a fair shake, I came to the conclusion that Patsy Did It. I'll leave the video here because I think it's obvious who the killer is based on the evidence made available to the public:

Oh honeys did any of you see Casting JonBenet on Netflix? It's the weirdest thing ever! They have the multiple actresses playing Patsy Ramsey phoning the police to report her kidnapping & disappearance with varying degrees of hysteria. There's a scene where they ask if her brother would have had the strength to fracture her skull with a flashlight and ask the actor playing him to demonstrate on a watermelon (it's in the trailer below).
I watched it with my mouth open while muttering WTF?
