1/10: Just an utter failure in every way possible. Soulless, irritating, cynical filmmaking with horrible writing and zero redeeming qualities. Example: Ready (2011)
2/10: Slightly more bearable than 1/10 films, but still painful to go through. Films which left an awful taste in my mouth fall into this as well. Example: The Smurfs
3/10: An outright bad film that still has some redeeming moments. Example: Bohemian Rhapsody
4/10: A really dull, dismal film with more bad elements than good ones. Example: Terminator Salvation
5/10: Middle-of-the-road. Films which do not stand out in any factor or films which have good ideas but otherwise completely squander their potential fall into this. Example: Batman v. Superman.
6/10: Moderately enjoyable films or films which are fine for one-time viewing but could have been so much more. Example: Jurassic World
7/10: Good films. They may have a few flaws (unrealised vision, bad writing at points) but otherwise have solid execution. Example: The first Paddington
8/10: Even better than the 7/10 films. Not quite great films, but are really enjoyable and/or engaging. Example: Dangal
9/10: Just all around great filmmaking. They are both highly engaging and superbly crafted. Example: Searching
10/10: Amazing films. They are films that I loved a lot due to various reasons, classics and films with an outstanding amount of craft put into them. They do not necessarily have to be perfect. Example(s): Piku, Apur Sansar

October style:
01/10. " Wait, I have seen this? " (The Forest) 02/10. " I'm offended! " (The Purge: Election Year) 03/10. " Dude, really? " (Red Dragon) 04/10. " What a waste. " (Exorcist || : The Heretic) 05/10. " Well, that was one way of spending time." (Halloween ||) 06/10. I probably won't come back to this anytime soon - but it's decent. (The Bird with the Crystal Plumage) 07/10. Good, if not genuinely interesting. (Serial Mom) 08/10. Solid or more. Will be glad to re-visit it asap if it's not an instant favorite. (A Nightmare on the Elm Street) 09/10. Brilliant work, plus I can connect with it on a personal level. (The Exorcist) 10/10. Rare and majestic. Evoked something in me, be it a short-lived sense of wonder, I did not know still is in there. (Suspiria)
