After breezing through Search Party earlier this year, High Maintenance came up as a show I might also enjoy and it was the first I'd heard of it. This might just be the greatest show I've never heard of. Has anybody else seen it? Described as an anthology comedy-drama that follows a weed delivery guy and his clientele, this is an incredibly well written genre blend that is making you laugh one minute and either cringe or sigh the next. Each episode is often split into two subplots, and spending 15 minutes with a lot of these characters has better development than I've seen in most movies. There's one episode from the perspective of a dog, and another where we see the life of a lighter play out. I loved the glimpses into all these loosely connected lives and being exposed to things I've never even thought or known about. It boasts such a talented and diverse cast with some incredible guest stars such as Amy Ryan, Dan Stevens, Martha Stewart, Rosie Perez, Yael Stone, Rebecca Hall and Nick Kroll. The soundtrack is also fantastic and the whole show is such a vibe. I highly recommend checking it out and I'm pretty disappointed this most recent season is its last.
