Finished up the 1970s a while ago, but took a long time to post this. Probably my favorite decade so far since starting in the 1920s. Maybe not super consistent as some years are really, really lame (like 1970, which is maybe my least favorite year for film ever), but the highs are just so damn great and plentiful that it's hard not to love it on the whole. Plus, two of my all-time favorite years for film are here (1974 and 1976), with 1974 maybe being my favorite year overall.
Below are my decade line-ups, but would love to see what you all consider your favorites of the decade as well!
