These four movies are modern classics without a doubt, and all rank in my all-time top 50.
I'd rank them: 1) Zodiac 2) No Country for Old Men 3) The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 4) There Will Be Blood

Ugh, Jesse James is awful and severely dated for a 2007 film. No fucking way it's a masterpiece, not in my book at least. The others I can see. My favorite of this bunch is There Will Be Blood. However, Atonement blows them all imo.

All are masterpieces, and all would crack the Top 5 of just about any year ever. But there's only one clear winner, and it's my all-time #1.

Eastern Promises rounds out my top five of this year, which is easily the best of the century so far and probably one of the best ever.

NCFOM is in my top 5 of all time, TWBB and Zodiac are both in my top 15 of all time, but Jesse James wouldn't even crack my top ten of 2007. I like it, it's okay, but I think it's immensely overrated.

My favorite of these films is There Will Be Blood, but I would definitely include Ratatouille when speaking of masterpieces from 2007.

I only really like TWBB. *Shrug*
That said, three films from 2007 probably break my top 50 or so: Eastern Promises, Gone Baby Gone and Once.
