And Kristen Wiig will play Huller's part. I'm so so so excited for this, Nicholson is my favorite actor

Wasn't Jack battling Alzheimer's? I thought his acting days were over.

Wasn't Jack battling Alzheimer's? I thought his acting days were over. There was a rumor he was having trouble with dementia, but he stated a year or so ago that it wasn't true.

I suppose he realised that having How Do You Know as his last film wouldn't have been such a great idea.
Still don't see the point in a Toni Erdmann remake, but cool news nonetheless.

Anything that can bring Jack out of retirement is great. I guess I have to accept that it is a remake Them.

I must admit that I am totally surprised. I thought Jack Nicholson was totally retired. I recognize that Kristen Wiig has talent but I'm not a fan.

Ugh, I hope this one to be even worse. Fuck Hollywood. While I agree that I hate the idea of a remake, I'm actually hoping it's pretty good, especially since it actually managed to get Nicholson out of retirement.

I've never seen the original but am pumped to get Nicholson on the big screen again.

I have very little faith in this being good, Jack or no Jack. Especially if Adam McKay is involved

I wish Stanley Kubrick was still alive and reunite with Jack on this. That would be maybe even better than original.

Cool. Now can someone get Gene Hackman back on the screen?

I can see Sean Penn as director because he worked with him twice. Wondering what taking so long.

No one. There shouldn't be a remake.

Sofia Coppola was the first name coming to my mind. I can find some similarities between her early works and the themes of Toni Erdmann, but really, as redhawk said, no remake please.
