So I said this was gonna be Monday morning but I forgot it was a holiday. Figured I’d do it this morning but I overslept. In true rock star fashion I am showing up late to my own presentation. Anyway I’m eyeing Thursday morning around 9-10 for the presentation. Maybe now that I actually have the presentation thread up I’ll have actually put pressure on myself to not be late again.
Let’s go ahead and start hearing those predictions

There will be at least one album that nobody but me or Movie Sinner has ever heard of. (Fingers crossed.)

Only Dead Man's Pop rewrote history in the 2010s taking a pretty good/questionable/divisive original album and destroying it and reconstructing it and its legacy in a way that is overwhelming - people can have "favorite albums" but DMP is a fncking miracle. I expect it to be top ...20........at least? (and unlike "Smile" there was nothing new added - it ALWAYS existed in this form ) I'd expect High Violet by The National to be really high - that's when they started to lose me but they have a bunch of fans here. Some of them are even nice people with a sense of humor! Rap and Hip Hop will bitch slap Rock unfortunately - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy might win even.

Surely not talking about me, who already has a hand clutching the whiskey for when a Replacements reissue gets in the top five while High Violet sneaks in at #50 or whatever. Speaking of which JangoB did you submit a ballot for this??

I'm pretty sure that the top 5 or 10 will consist of albums I don't like. Let's hope I'm proven wrong.

Had something come up this morning so we’re pushing the presentation back a bit again. Don’t worry, it’ll still be today. New estimated start time is around 1pm

Alright, presentation is ready to go. As you can clearly see, I am behind schedule again. Had to step aside for religious purposes (fantasy football draft scheduled at the last second). I could start the presentation now but I start working soon and while I could run the presentation and work at the same time, I might be in and out. Probably best to save it for first thing in the morning tomorrow, which would be 9am if I can get myself out of bed when my alarm goes off. I would do it later tonight but it's the first game of the new NFL season. THIS IS THE FINAL DELAY

Highest amount of ballot appearances was 4/12. This was acheieved by 5 albums, they all finished in the Top 5.
Minimum amount of points needed to make the Top 50 was 24, so everyone's Top 2 made the list.

I make fun of Vampire Weekend a lot for being too antiseptic and "clean" for a Rock band but that was by far their best record - some great almost Beatles like tracks on that....

Angles & Divine Fits played back to back with a can of cherry coke and Pez is like a New Wave flashback party to 1982 ........I mean that in the best way possible.

I wish I voted Divine Fits higher! Love that one. I’ve softened on Barnett but still think that’s a great album. Two more Parquets coming up?

The Ike Reilly is my fave of his catalog or most consistent anyway ......I love The Regrettes and take pride in discovering them (oh shut up!) but they were a near miss for my top 25.
