Steve Weintraub in general seems baffled and positively pleased.

I got positive vibes from the first trailer. This will be better than 3rd and 4th parts.

Well I mean the directors are a good fit, but as someone who defends the first three a bit more than I probably should, I absolutely loathed the trailers, but I´m ready to be surprised.

All of the promotional materials have indicated that this could be the best entry since the first one. Not a high bar, since everything in between was a bloated mess.

Even if it is better then the 4th, I seriously hope this is the last Pirates film. The series has gone on way too long at this point.

I actually thought that 'On Stranger Tides' felt too small for a film that spent $250 million (at minimum) to make.
If you ask me, that one's problem was complete opposite to that of 'At World's End'.

I don't even like the first one that much anymore, so I'm not expecting much from this retread.

Surprised by that. While I love the franchise, the trailer left me rather cold.

I love these films, so that's good news. They obviously have the formula down by now.

At least they finally cut down the run time on this. This one is 2 hours 15 minutes . (At World's End was nearly 3 hours long .)
