She complained about not getting a nod.

I still haven't seen the film, so no comment on her worthiness of course, but I will say that I like when actors admit they are disappointed when they don't get a nomination. I like it even more when they are nominated and make it clear that they want to win.

Should have put a picture of an Oscar on her treadmill.

Years ago she also complained about not getting a nod for Selena. I remember reading about that in Premiere magazine, with the columnist saying something like "She became a Golden Globe nominee [for Selena], but then again, so did Nikky Blomsky recently [for Hairspray]". I haven't seen her film, but I was always under the impression that critics don't take her much seriously as an actress, and Hustlers doesn't seem to have done enough to change that.

I don't think it was exactly a complaint. She just said it was a letdown. Whatever...
So I guess we lived to see JLo and Adam Sandler complaining they didn't get an Oscar nomination...

Anyone in her position would be upset, really. She was getting buzz since September, was widely seen as one of the strongest contenders in a generally weak category, won several critics prizes, and was even touted as a possible winner at one point, only to wind up being snubbed while her film got completely shut-out. To go from that level of buzz to getting totally ignored would make anyone here disappointed, especially when she was passed over in favor of less deserving performances.

Anyone familiar with JLo knows not only did she complain but there was a tantrum. She probably cried for three days straight. Adam didnt complain one bit. That is not in his nature.

Since she was much better than all of the nominees, she has every right to be.

My point was, they really had a chance of getting a nod... Sandler and Lopez! Academy Award Nominees!
