metal, rap, old rock. This is odd, because I'm a Coppola, Scorsese, and Mann fan with movies. And i'm the exact opposite of man-macho with music.
Favorite music genres: ambient, dream, folk, melancholic pop, underground alternative, soul.

Least favorite genres: Pop, electronic music (although I can enjoy an album occasionally, like Ulver's Perdition City for instance, but that is very rare), Grindcore, Drone
Favorite genres: Black metal, Power metal, Folk, Rembetiko, anything with bagpipes

I guess Pop, but that's so broad it doesn't mean much of anything.
Heavy Metal never does it for me, aside from maybe occasionally some more downbeat Doom Metal type stuff. I also don't care for the mainstream "Hard Rock" sound.
I can appreciate some of the greats in Hip-Hop and Country but they are generally not genres I enjoy.
I generally listen to Alt rock, jazz, romantic period classical music, post-rock, New Wave, old school/hardcore punk, downbeat non-dance electronica, some classic rock, and some glam rock ballads

Electronic pop or Hip Hop to some extent. Some are the same. Though I do enjoy a lot of classic hip hop.

Norwegian country music. No, really. It's a real thing, and it will make your ears bleed!

Don't care for metal generally. Especially death/power/heavy metal. Screamo makes me ill. Don't care much for 70's-era classic metal either.
Alt-metal can be good (Tool and Deftones).

Um........are you kidding?...........have you ever read any of my reviews? Most Metal aside from early Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Motorhead and um Judas Priest Stained Class.......though I can appreciate the playing and sometimes a metal song grabs me here and there (Damage, Inc. , Peace Sells......but those are 40 years old ) Almost all music labeled Grunge was pretty awful to me - There were 2 really good Grunge bands - Nirvana (at their best) and Mudhoney (who have less stuff that's them "at their best")........ Most Rap after the 90s / early 00s ....like Metal, occasionally a song grabs me ...... Oi Punk was an entirely useless genre Synth Pop resulted in some really good ideas......... and almost no good albums Most Twee Pop although I pretty much love Talulah Gosh so go figure Indie Rock - is a meaningless term that attracts lots of shit - it's a descriptive term that's stupid - like "neo-noir" Acoustic folk singer/ songwriter-y stuff - although I like plenty of singer / songwriters .... it's just this specific genre attracts a lot of faux poetic crapola........Indigo Girls, 10,000 Maniacs, Head and The Heart - Most 70s California Rock - Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc. though I love Warren Zevon and Jackson Browne can really write at least.... Most Teen Pop / All K Pop Polka (um)

I mean, there are some genres that are genuinely terrible - crunkcore comes to mind, basically unlistenable. As for genres I enjoy far less than most people? I guess most genres closely related to punk rock, which I generally find to be a fairly uninteresting genre. I certainly do like some acts, though, so it's really not as if I dislike the genre(s) or anything.
crunkcore's finest, brokeNCYDE
