I don't really think so.
It's had a nice run so far, but at this point it's still a 1917 vs. Parasite race imo. Don't think any of the other nominees can win.

Best Picture is most likely going to go toward 1917 or Parasite.
Jojo Rabbit is within the conversation, but it does have significant weaknesses: No BAFTA Best Film nomination, no Best Director nomination. But because it is contention for film editing, costume design and screenplay, we have to put it in there.

If the assumed frontrunners for Best Picture were all in the Original Screenplay category, why would it beating a bunch of also rans put it in the race?? If Joker had won with all its buckets of nominations everywhere it might have been a little more telling, but while this might tragically make Taika the adapted screenplay frontrunner I don't see why it should lead to much more?

No, I don't think so.
Probably 1917. If not, it's gonna be Parasite.
(alas, for months I thought it would be the Irishman or OUATIH...)

BAFTA wins for it will be very interesting Nah. You also said that J-Lo was going to pull an upset at SAG, lol.

I said it was a possibility and my post referred to a lot of predictions I was reading. I’m in no way predicting Jojo to win BP but I think it has to be in the conversation now as having the best chance to sneak in after 1917 and Parasite. While I don’t think it will win there is a realistic path as of now. If it wins screenplay or a surprise upset for supporting actress at BAFTA it will be more telling.

I think any screenplay winner is probably in the convo to win BP and I’m wondering if this has really been ahead of the likes of the Irishman and OUATIH all along for most of the awards so far? If it’s constantly been in 2nd or 3rd place it may end up squeezing thru on the preferential ballot. Again, I’m not predicting this but I think it has more of a shot at spoiling (and it would be a major upset) than folks are giving it credit to.

The fact that you thought the J-Lo SAG upset was a legit threat is telling. She wasn't in a lot of predictions.
Can You Ever Forgive Me won WGA Adapted Screenplay over Black Panther, Blackklansman, A Star Is Born.
In the #3 spot is still OUATIH, whose script was not eligible at WGA.
Even if Jojo Rabbit wins Adapted Screenplay at BAFTA, it's not enough to move ahead of 1917, Parasite, OUATIH.

OUATIH is still the no. 2 for me in terms of likelihood. Critics Choice BP is a stronger BP predictor than Parasite's ensemble win an it also has the Globe comedy BP.
It's not happening for JoJo Rabbit just because of one screenplay win. It's not taking BP/director at the BAFTAS.
