I saw the above tweet yesterday, but it didn't really register with me either way. Okay announcers some of whom are under the Disney umbrella already which makes sense for them to be available, but then I saw this news. I guess I'm just too old lol. Her songs that I've heard are okay, but it's just not for me.

Apparently she's gonna sing "I'm the baaaaaad guy" while Joaquin Phoenix in full Joker costume dances down some stairs on the Dolby stage.

More presenters announced.
A pretty good list except for James Corden who I've never found charming only entirely too smug.
I'm guessing George MacKay is presenting an award, but if he is introducing 1917, am I the only one that feels bad when some Best Picture nominees are able to get someone that's not starring in their movie to introduce their film, and other films it seems like they couldn't find anybody else and just use the actors. lol, that's probably not why it happens, but it seems that way to me.
I liked last year where they got a bunch of different people to introduce each Best Picture nominee, but I haven't heard anything about them repeating that, so I'm assuming they'll go back to the previous way.

I’m assuming Billie Eilish is performing during In Memoriam...which I have no issues with.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet (as far as I can see) ... so apparently the Academy tweeted this, a lot of people had "they just spoiled all the winners" reactions, they then clarified that they were advertising some prediction app, but considering just how many of the known frontrunners they put on here, you do have to wonder what's up here ...

I know they’re still counting votes, but I’m just going to predict all these for the Oscar contest I’m in. I never have any idea for like the short films and some of the below the line nominations, so I might as well go with these since so many of the predictions seem like what’s actually going to win.

This is obnoxious. They are the academy, the ultimate professionals (supposedly) for their industry. I don't think they should be doing this. Just imagine some other major board or committee doing this a week before some major once-in-year results are to be announced. Just unprofessional, imo.

Yeah, I noticed that voting officially ends tomorrow so I guess this can't even be 100% "legit," but the thing that's so confounding about it is that it's all frontrunners with like two to three real "surprises," which is basically what we see every year. It's just ... an all too believable list of winners, and I'm not sure why they would've tweeted it out that way. And, I mean, if on Oscar night we see Joker win for Editing, 1917 win visual effects ... then things might be looking real good for Parasite ... just sayin' ...

Real talk, that would be a terrific night for me if those were the winners, as even the awards I don't necessarily agree with, I have zero beef with winning.

I mean if these are "just" predictions, they did themselves no favors by predicting so many favorites, and logical upsets.

Those predictions seem 100% believable. The Academy does it again. Legendary slip up to close out a decade of them shooting themselves in the foot. Could be wrong, but this seems like a real screw up. Irishman's really going to lose Editing to Joker, huh? I'm not one of the people saying it's some kinda masterpiece, but come on. Parasite winning Best Picture is one of the better options they could've gone with here, and would be the best pick of the decade (even if that's not saying much, and it really isn't) by a hair over Birdman.

Had a dream last night that Antonio Banderas won Best Actor.
So bored with this Oscar season that my brain is coming up with unlikely surprises...

This sounds very plausible. And as for the predictions seeming close to something that could happen, well, they're somebody's good predictions. I don't think the Academy accidentally mailed the winners list or anything, especially since the voting only ends today.

I hope Shia LaBeouf comes out with a bag on his head saying "I'm Famous Again".

Hard to believe this.
