So what is winning SAG Ensemble?
All the tea leaves lead to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, a Tarantino movie with a big ensemble and big stars, and the Best Picture Frontrunner.
Could Parasite be the stealth winner, since it got surprisingly nominated despite being a Korean movie?
Could The Irishman be the one that upsets, given the clout Netflix has within SAG and the quality of the film and the performances?

I think there might be a temptation to give it to The Irishman since it would get Pacino and De Niro together on stage (I doubt Pesci will attend)... it would be an epic moment. Once Upon a Time... could be seen as essentially a DiCaprio-Pitt duo and Pitt is winning an individual award anyway so they might pass.
But Parasite is definitely the dark horse here and if it is seen enough, it could win.

Probably OUATIH will win this, although I wouldn't rule out the Irishman or Parasite.
No chance for Bombshell and Jojo I guess.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is winning.
Highest grosser, big stars, and it's the BP frontrunner right now,

I am really baffled by where The Irishman is right now in general - I don't know if the Globes knocked it out of everything or being that they're you know, the stupid f'n Globes are closer to being more meaningless than meaningful.
Particularly at SAG where weeks ago I thought this was a lock for SAG ensemble award - it has the best performances in it - it is a true ensemble in how the characters interact and play off their previous roles and the acting is not just at the highest level but far deeper into the cast list too imo.
It has an actor they sort of love Pacino (2 wins for TV) and respect the hell out of De Niro even though he was left out and getting a lifetime achievement this year. But I now no longer know what this great film is - if this 10+ nods Oscar candidate - or if it somehow will slip to far lower than that and will lose screenplay to, gulp, Little Women.
I don't have a feel for how people see it atm..........so, OUATIH it is.

OUATIH. With Parasite as a potential spoiler.

It's between OUaTiH and Parasite.
Parasite has the rooting factor going for it. It's the underdog and a true ensemble. And it won't have the visibility issues you'd except an FLF to have because it's an unprecedented nomination and one of the top Oscar contenders.
OUaTiH is the frontrunner at the moment, it will probably be the most watched of the nominees, and has big stars and big box-office. But, as I've mentioned before, it maybe doesn't have the rooting factor, with Pitt winning Supporting Actor and DiCaprio having his own SAG award already.
I'll side with OUaTiH, but Parasite is right on its heels.

OUATIH.
Bombshell will be 4-0. Its earlier passion has fizzled. It missed PGA. BAFTA snubbed Kidman - in a weak category. The film bombed at the box office.
Zellweger's main threat is ScarJo. Robbie and Kidman will split votes - like Stone and Weisz last year.

I'd always side with the more populist film, which is clearly going to be the Tarantino . . . but Parasite has a LOT of passion behind it, and it did get over that initial hurdle of actually being nominated in the first place. I dunno, I think Once has the edge but not by much.

In light of the whole #BAFTASsowhite fiasco I'm gonna say Parasite.

I am definitely thinking Once Upon A Time here. I say this for a different reason stated on here. What's Once about? Two struggling actors living in Hollywood during the end of the Golden Age of Cinema. It's a movie about the industry and what could have been if Booth saved the day

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. In addition to what's already been said, it also has the narrative and the fact that it's a sorta celebration of the film and TV industry helps it immensely.

I find it hard to believe that anything other than OUATIH will win. A bunch of Hollywood actors... in a movie about Hollywood actors...
Parasite obviously had enough passion to get in here, but how much support does it have with SAG as a whole beyond its devoted fans? The fact that no individual actors were nodded is what makes me think Hollywood wins.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is like pure catnip for SAG. Financially successful film that idolises Hollywood with a large cast filled with big names. I do think Parasite is a very strong contender too. I has a ton of passion behind it and its ensemble is one of the most praised aspects of the film. Either winning wouldn't surprise me. Jojo Rabbit feels like a bit of a dark horse at the moment too.

I think Jojo Rabbit could be a dark horse too just because SAG loves kid actors, but I think OUATIH being about the industry and probable BP frontrunner right now will be too much for JJR. Plus OUATIH also has Julia Butters, and while I didn't protect her for SAG, I wouldn't have been surprised if she had been one of the surprise nominees there.

Let me get this straight: The guys who didn't give Parasite any acting nods, gave it a SAG ensemble??
