I'm not a Scott or Lady Gaga fan. But I admire that Scott cast an italoamerican for the role.-

Gaga coming for the acting win she deserved for A Star is Born!

So Ridley is basically making two big movies back to back, and he's turning 82 this month. Love it - both projects, the little I know, seem to have fascinating characters and context and lots of material to mine from. Gaga was much better than I thought she'd be in A Star is Born so who knows here. Curious who else they cast...

WTF???
This is an awesome cast! (except Jared Leto).
I have no idea who is playing who (any guesses?), or how big or small each role will be, but i just hope for Pacino's 10th nomination.

Hmmmmmm........if DePac is in this I assume they'd be playing brothers/Gucci uncles but that's just a guess. If Pacino gets a 10th nod you can all pretty much leave here for a while because I'll be insufferable......

Deffintely an interesting cast. But Scott himself is so hit and miss that it's hard to have any grand expectations with him any more(who knew Tony would be by far the more consistent brother). He's wasted great casts before (ie The Counselor). You know the cinematography will be great, but beyond that, it's anyone's guess.
I don't have high expectations for The Last Deul based on what I've seen so far, but you never know with Scott. He can deliver a mediocre stinker, just as easily as he can knock out a great movie. A quite frustrating filmmaker.

The cast definitely has my interest especially with Pacino being cast (first time he's worked with Ridley), although Scott's pass inconsistencies as a filmmaker means I'm more curious, then actually looking forward to the film. Here's hoping The Last Duel turns out good.

Here's hoping The Last Duel turns out good. I’m not surprised that he’d want to work with Driver again so soon, but I’m optimistic that’s a good sign for The Last Duel or at least Driver’s performance.

Hopefully, although the last time that a new "hot actor of the moment", worked with Scott again it was Michael Fassbender, and we all know how that turned out. Mind you I'd be surprised if The Last Duel is as disastrously received as The Counselor.

I mean, it's a promising cast and Ridley always brings something to the table, but it all depends on the script.

...You know the cinematography will be great... Even that aspect is quite inconsistent about Ridley, imo. He's undoubtedly made plenty of great looking films but I feel like most of his work as of late (since he started shooting digitally) has been pretty uninspired visually. I agree that Tony was the more consistent director of the two although Ridley's highs are much higher.

I'm pretty sure neither Pacino nor De Niro will be in this... Based on what? Well, first of all the article says they are being considered, not that they have signed... Second, Ridley has to finish The Last Duel first, shooting and post-pro, advertising etc. That is, late 2021. If this one gets made, it's gonna start production 2021 or most likely 2022. Not many projects are getting made with the cast and crew they originally planned (1-2 years in advance maybe), especially when it comes to secondary roles. Plus these guys are 77 and 80. I don't think they'll stay attached to a project for this long (again, for taking up supporting roles. If we're talking about ie. the new Scorsese film or King Lear and so on, yes, maybe they'll wait). And I repeat, Scott is in the middle of another movie right now, plus I don't know how deeply he'll get involved with Raised By Wolves.

Do you think as cant happened disaster like with The Conselor as great cast got ruined by average sctript? Is this scriptwriter solid?
