How many like this guy? IMO, he is not usually mentioned in discussions regarding great cinematographers. Also directors should hire him often. I adore his work. I love his extreme diffusion style to get a soft light. Not many does that. Just look at this image It's very dark. Blacks are crushed but there is soft light coming from the actors side and it lits the alley in a very natural way. I just love it. Amelie, A Very Long Engagement, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Inside Llewyn Davis. Now he is stuck with Tim Burton. I don't know why they both couldn't deliver top rate work in Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrine's. Both are very underwhelming in visual look. Burton is a very visual guy but somehow him and Delbonnel is yet to give their best. Anyway give me your thoughts on this cinematographer's work

He's brilliant, love his work. HBP has some of the best cinematography of the 2000's.

I love him. His work on HBP is my favorite of his and my win that year ILD is fantastic, Amelie is actually my least favorite of his that I've seen, but still great.
