American Society of Cinematographers picked the right B&W film! Cuaron's reign is finally over although it probably won't hinder him much as far as Oscars are concerned.

Excellent. Now if it can repeat this win at the BAFTAs and the Oscars, I'd be delighted.

Every frame in this film looks like a work from a Magnum photographer

every single shot in this film is breathtaking. Maybe the prettiest film of the decade photography-wise. Would love a repeat at the Oscars.
Roma is gorgeous too. Seen it twice and the cinematography stood out to me even more on repeated viewing. That's what's probably going to win and that'll be fine, but Cold War is even better IMO.

Wow! That’s great! I’ve been shocked at how Roma pretty much swept the entire category. The cinematography is amazing but Cold War’s was even better.

That praise for "Cold War"'s cinematography now really makes me want to see it, which I didn't because Pawlikowski's "Ida" was rather poor. "Roma"'s cinematography is probably in my Top 5 of the decade already, so I'm really interested how "Cold War" holds up against it.
