General people don't care, Film Twitter lost its mind, films that should be here got completely ignored. In a normal, idealistic universe where the Oscar nominations were normal and satisfying and what you'd have expected for this season? Not your picks, but ones that would have felt average/satisfying had this season went as expected. MAYBE safe and boring, but satisfying.

A Star Is Born
Basically trying to avoid controversies, backlash, so arthouse it alienates general public yet not too blockbuster-awards bait to alienate the film community. Have diversity in the acting lineups, women in director, not awarding mixed reviewed films, and give plenty of people first-time nominations that have been long deserved.
