So lovely, so talented, so underrated... Which character is your favorite from her portrait gallery? And, as an aside, couldn't you see her as Katharine Hepburn if a proper biopic were to ever be made?

Henry Fool (but not her lead in the sequel) and her heartbreaking and sweet and funny episode of Louie - those 2 are really wonderful work.

Hope Greta will write something for her one of these days. Right? Similarly, I want Sofia Coppola to write something for her idol, Charlotte Rampling. Talk about two collaborations made in heaven.

I still think Broken English is her best performance - this film is far too under-seen!

My favs would be, no order....
Louie Clockwatchers Irrational Man The House of Yes Broken English Party Girl and pretty much all the Guests.... Guffman, Best in Show, even Mascots.
And here's another. I mentioned Drunks (1995) yesterday over in the Film/Stage/TV thread for Amanda Plummer... and here is Parker Posey's big monologue. You really get a sense of the character, erratic and misguidedly nostalgic, attention-seeking, a little testy, yet charming, trying, hopeful - it's very funny and very sad, at the same time, a Posey specialty...

Rewatched this beautiful underrated gem of a movie a few days ago.It was directed by Rebecca Miller (DDL's wife). I think P.P. delivered one of the best performances of her career in that film.

HELENA MARIA - Absolutely. She is so funny that it's easy to forget how adept she is at drama, too. Also, this is a lot of fun... Parker Posey's Book Club Essentials. I know that she and Sofia Coppola are friends - I'm thinking Sofia got the idea to have Rashida Jones' character in On the Rocks carry the Strand tote from Posey. In her apartment in New York with her beloved Gracie, surrounded by books... So cozy! LaraQ

Waiting for Guffman & Henry Fool but gosh, apart from all the Guests and Hartleys, i've seen so little of her work, actually, i have to hang my head in shame.

She's switched agencies to, the big one, CAA. Hopefully there are bigger-better roles already on the table for her. Kinda funny, in her memoir she hates on CAA a lot!

Oh honey, I love her in The Misadventures of Margaret (1998). She reminds me of a young Katherine Hepburn in that.
She's also good in Clockwatchers (1997) with Toni Colette & Lisa Kudrow.
