One of THOSE guys, as the Times wrote in its Obit: "characters that make the stars shine and place the accomplishments of the ensemble above personal glory." (aka The Real Movie Stars) Of course, Moffat was an indelible part of some very fine movies, such as The Thing, The Right Stuff, Music Box, The Unbearable Lightness of Being etc. He will be missed. Here's a clip from Clear and Present Danger And one of his last appearances on stage, as Ulysses S. Grant in the 2002 Off Broadway production of John Guare’s A Few Stout Individuals.
