My S34 simulation. Wouldn't mind this being the actual boot order TBH. Damn, you're predicting two quitters?? And yeah, I'm all for Ew-zzy going out first. No, brantsteele.net is a simulation site that gives you a random boot order for contestants.

Trang: (Laughs) I think Zeke is gay. And Jeff Varner is gay. Wouldn’t it be sweet to have a gay alliance? Holmes: The first ever gay-lliance! I love it. Trang: (Laughs) Gay-lliance! Jeff Varner talked to me about it. I have talked to him about us working together. Is Malcolm gay? He sounds so gay to me. Holmes: I don’t think so. I know he’s been in relationships with females. Trang: Oh, OK. He’s not, but the way he carries himself is very sweet.Tai flirting with all the straight men and getting them under his wing would be the SURVIVOR MOMENT OF ALL TIME. They don't even need to be gay, just Taicurious. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I'll spoiler this, just in case, but here are my thoughts on episode one. Overall, I'm very satisfied with last night's episode. I don't mind the individual cast so much, but I still wish that there were more end-gamers because there seem to be more early/mid jury boots than anything else. That said, there was no shortage of entertainment. Highlights include:
•Sandra and Tony, of course. I had a feeling Tony wouldn't go far (I predicted him to be early jury), but honestly I think the tribe made the right call (especially since they swap the next episode). Sandra will never be able to take the target off her back, but unlike Tony, she can't crawl away on her biceps. People can beat Sandra at her own game (Or can at least try to); Tony's is another story. Tony handled his boot very well; it's a pity that Sandra made me laugh out loud with "Bye, Tony. Say hi to Ciera for me." This might be the funniest and meanest thing she's ever said.
•Cirie and Tai. The second-best moment was how Tai wanted to let Cirie know JT and Ozzy were gunning for her, but rather than just say it, he has a brain freeze when Cirie asks about it. Second-best line: "That pause is giving me concern."
•Assassin Sarah. I'm apparently one of her bigger fans because she's so adorkable. I don't know if she's going to do well, but on paper the idea of her going from the mind of a criminal to the mind of a cop suits her much better. She could shoot her targets, or accidentally commit suicide.
•Michaela's attempt at a new social game. She acknowledges her mistake of not being more sociable; the "Bye, Felicia" comment after Figgy was voted off was probably what got Jay to turn on her (since he'd reunite with Taylor at the merge). And yet, she looked even more serious after hearing that Ciera was gunning for her (which, of course, she wasn't).
•It's funny how taken aback people are by JT's new appearance... which isn't too far off from when he first started playing? He more or less looks the same, just eight years older since he was first filmed. He's heavier, but it makes sense for someone with his build to put on weight before going on Survivor. That stated, he's impossible to read. He did play a perfect game the first time around.
•Debbie's bullshit detector blipping after Cirie talked to her. She was right on the money deconstructing Cirie's pitch to her. Here's hoping she can put it to good use.
•Brad wanting to name the chicken with the black hair top Monica. I wish the editors had captioned that scene with "What up, Brad?"
I'm excited so far, but I hope there aren't too many twists. I really don't want the tribes to swap again at the F14 like they did in Cambodia. Too many twists ruined that season.

erickeitel Agreed pretty much about everything. That Cirie and Tai moment was my favourite of the episode. You can just see why Cirie has been so good at the game and why Tai is so out of his element

Yeah, that was a barnstormer of a premiere. I called Ciera as first boot, and thank God we don't have to hear anymore about how she voted out her mom (which is such an overrated move; it wasn't like she orchestrated it). I like Ciera, but she should've been aware of her perception around game and just kept her mouth shut and her eyes open a la Varner.
I figured Tony wouldn't be long for this season, but the editors definitely faked me out with that tribal. I thought they'd be able to swing Michaela and have her vote out Sandra to keep the strength within the tribe and then a swap would fuck over Tony. I think ultimately, they made the wrong move because Sandra's skill is being able to slide by and deflect attention to other players. They need to wise the hell up if they hope to knock Sandra off her throne.
Speaking of, I don't know if it's just me, but I'm really getting tired of her "queen stays the queen" shtick. Three times in one episode? Come on, Sandra. Don't buy into your own hype. That's bitten an untold number of returnees in the ass. Also, I feel she screwed up majorly even if she did win the Tony/Sandra fight. Why couldn't she tell the truth to Tony when he busted her and Troyzan? They were talking about how Tony was no threat and shouldn't vote against him. And with a three-time swap on the horizon, Sandra (who usually sneaks through the premerge by sitting out of challenges and generally being inoffensive in tribe games) has nowhere to hide now. All she needs to do is be on a tribe that loses one challenge and she immediately becomes the target (two-time winner who sucks at challenges). In the end, I think it's amazing TV and Sandra is a dynamite character, but I think it was a bad move for her gameplay in the long run to not try and mend fences with Tony, especially when his paranoia was largely due to her duplicity. Tony may be a schemer, but Sandra straight-up lied and he knew it.
Loving what we saw of J.T. (obviously), Sarah, Brad, Varner (despite that challenge), Troyzan, Good Sierra, Debbie (way to sniff out Cirie's B.S., girl!), Hali, and surprisingly, Caleb. Guy showed a surprising amount of awareness that was lacking in the pre-game press.
All in all, fantastic premiere with strong editing (even if I would've liked a bit more insight into Malcolm/Caleb's decision to go with the majority, especially as I thought they were building a reasonable explanation to rope in Michaela on the basis of challenge strength).

Alrighty, sorry for the delay on this folks. Let's get this swap going! Here's the order we'll act in, which I just randomized: When it's your turn, you can either choose to swap one of your players for the 2 benched players, or keep your team the way it is. Be sure to tag the next person in the list to keep this moving alone. Micah and I are both one player short right now, so once all six of us have taken our turn, Micah (since I'm acting first in this swap) will get the choice between the two remaining players of which one to add to his team, and I'll end up with whichever one is left over by default. Remember, after this selection process, the only trades you can make are with other members of the league (which is encouraged!). So, to kick us off, currently benched is Debbie and Caleb. Even though she's still the queen, I'm gonna have to follow my head here and swap Sandra for Debbie. So now Sandra and Caleb are on the bench. stephen, you're up.
