And is she really a worthy winner ?

First off, lemme just say that they were both amazing and are my top 2 choices for Best Actress.
But I slightly prefer Stone. Huppert was fantastic and I particularly appreciate the lightness of touch in her performance, but Stone was a tad more impressive to me personally.
I think she's an extremely worthy winner, one of the best in a long time for me.

She's better than Huppert in Elle, but not in Things To Come

Huppert was better, but Stone is still one of the best winners of the decade. Both were excellent.

Huppert was certainly better, but taking a step back from all of the hoopla, it makes total sense that she lost. I think she put up a good fight and the fact that she got as far as she did goes to show that the Academy's collective taste is changing for the better.

No not at all, but Portman was far better than both. So were the snubbed Adams and Bening. Hell, I'd say Ruth Negga was too. Huppert and Stone were both very good though!

Both were great, but I prefered Huppert. Stone is the best winner of the decade in this category so far for me though.

That's the way Hollywood works.-
But far worst was seing Cassey Affleck as Best Actor, along his bro Ben and Matt, that of course they could critized Trump but not Cassey or Ben behaviour. Or even worst Moonlight win.-

Portman was better than both, as was Braga, but yes I think Emma was better and I don't hate her win. Just a shame, Portman's film didn't do well enough to get her the win.

I preferred Huppert, and in that sense she deserved to win. But I think happier that Stone won, not only because she was terrific in her own right, but also because she's been great for years now. I know that's not how it should go, but there it is.

Yes. Hupperts character seems intriguing, at first but after a while it gets so cartoonish and generic whereas Stone falls into the same trap but her charisma and talent overcomes the scripts flaws.
