Given the very questionable stuff I read on this board recently - Crowe as Falstaff (no), Crowe being that funny in general anyway (he's really not)......I've decided to periodically find old stuff to amuse myself and show how MAR - like everything - was better before........... obviously Monae couldn't keep it up........but she wins over Cazale for weird hair imo .......

This wasn't even accurate in 2017. She was in Rio 2.

Ms./Mx. Monáe has been in 12 films so far. Only two were nominated for Best Picture. I am confused by what is going on here.

It appeared at the time the OP was made (2017) that Monae would only be in BP nominees - Moonlight and Hidden Figures - she was 2 for 2 ........obviously Rio 2 didn't count since the OP obviously meant live appearances - pfffft ...........anyway she could not match Cazale as time went on.........this is what makes life so hard.......... time never stops:
Some examples:* Novak Djokovic surpassed Rafael Nadal in every major Tennis achievement category for example to become the indisputable "best"..................... at one time that was harder to argue - though it was always true.......do you see Rafael Nadal fanboys argue this now? No, because that would be impossible..... * Scientists recently created a Lab Designed Disgusting Superchicken that may, as time goes on cause cancer in your children's, children's, children or cause you to spit up feathers and lay eggs..............whereas at one time previously............. you actually had to eat you know...... a real, at one time living chicken which was as God intended.........Amen. * Cazale btw appeared in only 5 films while alive .........all BP nominees - and 3 winners ......or as I like to call it "3 more BP nominees and 3 more winners than Denzel Washington has after 50 films" |
