AMC, because I like their rewards program. Also, I can buy a medium popcorn and soft drink at the same price as a small.

I definitely prefer Cineplex, although the other options in Canada have pretty much disappeared.
I like their rewards program, at most of their theaters they have excellent movie choices (for a large mainstream theater at least), they upgraded most of their theaters in the last five years to excellent seating and screens, have relatively cheap prices, still have discounts on Tuesdays, and they actually have organized staff who can keep people in the right line for the right movie and then clean up after the movie ends. Most of these things are little things that other theaters could do, just aren't managed well enough.
I know it sounds like I must work for them, but I don't. It's just not surprising that every mainstream theater in my city that wasn't Cineplex either went bankrupt or got bought out.
There are also two independent theaters. One of which does extremely well, the other has been around for a long time so I think it does well enough to stay in business but it is pretty empty most nights. And I think it just comes down to basic management. The second theater will tell people the wrong start time for a movie and then not apologize for making the mistake, and they constantly try stealing when giving people back change. It's happened to me multiple times (but I always count it and call them on it) so either their staff are morons or they're thieves. Either way, not the best way to run a business.

Regal and Cinemark are basically all that's local for me, and I'm fine with both. Regal's probably "nicer," though Cinemark generally has the more reasonable prices and better selection (but that also depends on theater size).
Never been to an AMC tbh.
