The Globes lack of love for Hopkins was particularly awful (he has never won one before, not even for Lambs)

The lack of Hopkins love is pretty baffling, especially at SAG where they love veterans. I think both will pop up at the Emmys atm though.

Yep. Despite my mixed feelings towards the series itself, those two both knocked it out the park. Hopkins' performance was easily one of the best of all of last year. Wood and Simpson were also fantastic.

I'd say Westworld has a chance at sweeping in general. I really hope so, I'm so disappointed with how GG and SAG treated the show

For a second there, I thought you were talking about Solace.

Yeah, it's weird too, especially with Hopkins, who I thought the awards groups would run to based on name alone.
Wood, Newton, Hopkins and Wright were easily my four favourite members of that cast, and they could all fit comfortably into the four different acting categories. At least the former two are getting recognition, and maybe the Emmys will be kinder to the other two.

I found my On Demand having HBO and thought I have to check this show out. My wife enjoyed it and I didn't get to see the entire thing. I found the idea of a Western-themed park for adults mixed with sci-fi to be really cool. All 10 episodes of Season 1 had my interest the entire time with plot twists I didn't see coming. I highly admired the production design, the costumes, and music.
Performances: Ed Harris is the MVP of this show for me. After episode 7, I've been saying to give him the Emmy. Evan Rachel Wood is the #2 best on this show. I also enjoyed the performances from Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, Shannon Woodward, and Thandie Newton.
I look forward to this being on Blu-Ray.

I liked it quite a lot, especially after that truly amazing finale. My biggest problem with it was that I was completely ambivalent towards all of the park mission stuff, because it felt so inconsequential and low-stakey.
I was most impressed by Newton, Wood, Wright and Hopkins in roughly that order. Harris was good but the show didn't give him the most juicy of material imo.

If I was to make a list of the five greatest seasons of television I've ever seen... this would be on there for sure.

Anyone love Ford and MIB bar scene. I almost collapsed during this it was so cool Harris and Hopkins did 2 movies together but they only shared a small scene in Human Stain so this was really their first proper scene

Sort of spoilery:
Finally got around to watching this. I liked aspects of it, but was disappointed overall and thought it was kind of a mess. The first couple episodes were promising, but I thought it paid diminishing returns as it went along. I was much more interested in everything going on outside the actual park... there are a lot of action scenes where the stakes are inherently low/nonexistent because neither the guests nor the hosts can die (or die permanently) and the side narratives feel like they kind of stall the larger story rather than push it along, so I wasn't very invested in those parts.
So much of the show feels redundant from one episode to the next, like it keeps running over the same ideas but without expanding them... it just sort of repeats them and piles on more plot developments. There's also a ludicrous amount of twists that feel sort of arbitrary at a certain point and aren't always earned, like they're just there for the sake of shock value. On the whole, I just found it really muddled and overwrought at times (the finale in particular) and not as clever as it thought it was being. I think Blade Runner covers the same thematic ground much more economically and I felt like this sort of material really didn't need to be stretched over 10 hour-long episodes.

Meh. Wasn't big on the first season and there's nothing here that looks particularly enticing.

Very well done. Nice choice of song. Love the contrast between it and the stark visuals. Can't wait.

I was probably a bigger fan of S1 than many (though it had a lot of problems, to be sure), so I'm looking forward to this. Not much of great interest here though as far as new material is concerned.

Not really a big of season 1 except for Hopkins. This trailer looks like a commercial but i'm intrigued.

Really good trailer! Thank God the release date is close, I cannot believe it was so long since season 1

Wasn't really a fan of the first season, but I'm still interested to see how this next season is going to play out. I like that arrangement of "Heart-Shaped Box" in the trailer.

Where are the watchers? Damn.
Solid first episode. I'm interested to see how long this part of the story can be stretched, but right now I'm engaged by the robot rampage. I still couldn't care less about the Man in Black, even though Ed Harris is giving a perfectly fine performance - he particularly felt like an unnecessary afterthought here. Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright continue to crush it though, and I'm intrigued to see where each of their stories lead. 8/10
I was, for the most part, a fan of the first season, but I only really started to click with it in the last few episodes. This was a stronger starting point, and I'm hoping for a slightly stronger season as well.
