Well this has been a disaster. I remember being excited when the first Man of Steel was announced. I'm not sure things could have gone worse for DCU.

Dreadful actor with zero screen presence, so no great loss really.

I really like Cavill and thought he was a fantastic Superman, but perhaps this is all for the best. DC needs to get their act together, and despite having had the best live-action Batman in Affleck (yeah, come at me!) and a damn fine Superman, the studio really squandered them. Wonder Woman is really the only character they've done justice to, and even then, I fear that might've been an accident.
Also, word on the street is they're courting Michael B. Jordan for Superman. Which would be fascinating indeed.

Guess this means they’ll have no problem replacing Affleck, but yeah this has been such a clusterfuck.

A damn shame how the DCEU went down. oh well. Man of Steel had its moments and imo was better than a number of the MCU films (which isn't saying much lol but still it isn't the total abortion that a lot of folks make it out to be)
Cavill is still cool in my book & was a good enough Superman (also really liked him in U.N.C.L.E & MI Fallout ) and imo would make a badass Bond.

Well this is probably for the best. Never liked Cavill as Superman and Justice League might be the worst movie ever made with a budget over $150 million. Hopefully Cavill will find something better for him. I kinda enjoyed him in Fallout.

I actually liked him when he got to actually be Superman in the third act of Justice League, but it's probably for the best to scrap Snyder's version of the character and start over. Don't think Michael B. Jordan is the way to go, though, since he's already got two popular franchise characters in Killmonger (I know he's dead but considering the spirituality of Black Panther, there are ways to have him around) and Adonis Creed. Plus, and this might be just me, but I always like the idea of Superman going to a relative unknown rather than a firmly established A-lister.

Throwback to one of the best teasers ever and when this universe had so much hope.

Throwback to one of the best teasers ever and when this universe had so much hope. Truth be told, Man of Steel was actually pretty good. Even BvS showed signs of there being a solid film (or two, more accurately) somewhere beneath all the layers of studio meddling. It was only Justice League that was an unsalvageable mess with no redeeming qualities whatsoever other than the fact that it ended at some point.

The only actor I've ever wanted to see play Superman/Clark Kent... DDL. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to see him do. James Caviezel could have played it. Kyle MacLachlan could have played it. David Mamet would have delivered a credible film. Those days are dust.

"Fuck the Kryptonian! What is this, courtesy class?"

This man gets it. I'm not sure why he concerns himself with such things, but he does. Rebecca Pidgeon as Lois Lane confirmed. Ricky Jay as the loquacious Perry White. Ed Harris as either Lex Luthor or Jor-El. We could have had this film instead of Superman Returns.

Cavill trolling his fans with this video and his agent's weird tweets are so pathetic. Netflix should reconsider hiring this idiot
